Indian Contemporary Art Journal, an art-magazine, is now published as a quarterly art journal by Kalavishkar. The field of visual arts is witnessing distinct shifts in the modes of making and sharing, thereby providing insights into the creative lives of individuals and relationships with viewers. The viewer, the consumer or the user of the digital world, is increasingly gaining a prominent place in the current discourse of visual dissemination. A variety of recent initiatives are being shaped to design and device experiential elements into an exhibition format. This issue of the Art Journal explores such reflections in the orbit of visual arts, providing an accessible window to interactions within this field. The current issue of Art Journal brings about a range of discussions around colonial histories, approaches to art mediation, and architectural rethinking.
