India Art Festival, the only contemporary art fair in India hosting two annual editions at Mumbai and New Delhi positions itself today as a successfully tested module of art fair with a focus on both - art galleries and independent artists.
The India Art Festival (IAF), the only contemporary art fair in India, provides a new model for collaboration and dialogue between various different mediums of art. Along with its in-house quarterly art publication, 'Indian Contemporary Art Journal,' IAF began inducting unrepresented and marginalized visual voices, from all corners of India, into the mainstream art marketplace. It has now positioned itself as a successful, simple, and unbiased art fair module, with a focus on art galleries, as well as independent artists.
IAF hosts two annual editions, one in Mumbai and the other in New Delhi, hosting over 400 artists and 50 art galleries from across the country, and the Asian sub-continent. IAF has begun the process of democratizing the Indian art market by bringing together rural and urban artists, and by providing a refreshing approach to viewing, selling, and buying art.
